floating raindrops

today's attempt at baking was a disaster.

i tried to make macarons (i shouldn't have), and i did my research online about all the different techniques...too bad most of the recipes list the ingredients by weight, and i don't have a kitchen scale! so i sort of approximated (not a good idea) and now i have a bunch of weirdo things that do not even resemble macarons in the slightest bit. i might try again.....next year.

i also burned my other batch of cookies and ran out of sugar and parchment paper!!! no picture today, boo-hoo bye bye.
