what a wonderful swap! i made a really easy strawberry cake that sort of tastes like...strawberry shortcake. =)
ingredients:
4 T butter
3/4 cup sugar
1 egg
3/4 cup heavy cream
1/2 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
pinch of salt
2 cups sliced fresh strawberries
directions:
1. beat together the butter + sugar - beat in the egg.
2. beat in the heavy cream + vanilla.
3. add in the flour + baking powder + salt.
4. fold in the strawberries.
5. bake at 375F in a lined round pan for 25-30 min.
