tollhouse cookies


i brought some chocolate chip cookies to work today. i used the original tollhouse recipe - which turned out really soft and chewy. (just the way i like them!) however...everything i have been making lately has been turning out quite flat. and it has been brought to my attention that i need to use fresh baking soda! we have always kept a box of opened baking soda just sitting in our fridge...and that's what i always use. it never occurred to me to use fresh baking soda for baking! so i am quite excited to buy a new box of baking soda tomorrow to try out these cookies again. (and maybe a new cake!)
