"just-right" chocolate chip cookies
i have definitely tried many chocolate chip cookie recipes, and i finally found one that i love! here is my version, slightly adapted from this article:
ingredients:
3 2/3 cup minus 2T flour
1 1/4 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 1/2 sticks butter
1 1/4 cup light brown sugar (lightly packed)
1 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
about 1/2 bag nestle tollhouse mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
directions:
1. sift together flour + baking soda + baking powder + salt and set aside.
2. cream cold butter with the sugars until very light (don't let your butter melt!)
3. add eggs one at a time, mixing very well after each one - then stir in vanilla.
4. add in the dry ingredients and mix by hand until just barely combined.
5. stir in the chocolate chips.
6. refrigerate overnight!
7. gently form into 1.5" balls and bake at 350 for 10 minutes.
8. makes about 4 dozen 2" cookies! yuummy.
