while we were sewing, i decided to try out this recipe for a french baguette. i just used a kitchen aid mixer instead of a bread machine - and at first i thought it was going to be a disaster because it was way too sticky (a lot of it was stuck to the wet paper towel i used to cover it) and it didn't rise very much. but after baking....it was really yummy and soft! i would say it's more like french bread....instead of a baguette. but who knew making bread was so easy! i'm definitely going to try it again.
