beef bourguignon!
today i made julia child's beef bourguignon (after watching julie & julia) in my new purple pot that i got for my birthday (thank you jenn + ld!). it was quite time consuming and i'm not sure i would attempt it again...but it was a fun project for spring break! next i'm going to try making these cookies (from the momofuku milk bar!).
some specifics about my beef bourguignon: i used a chuck roast with a pinot noir from oregon - "angeline". i didn't get to braise the pearl onions for an hour, but i did learn something about browning mushrooms!
