this bread was so easy to make! no yeast involved...just some cheap beer that you might have in the fridge =) i must say it gets dry very quickly - and it tastes much better warm, right out of the oven. oh, and it's a bit chewy and dense...but it's so easy!
ingredients:
3 cups flour
1 T baking powder
1 ½ tsp salt
4 T sugar
1 can or bottle of beer (12 oz)
3 T butter (melted)
directions:
1. combine all the dry ingredients together in a large bowl.
2. pour in the beer and stir until a stiff batter is formed.
3. scrape the dough into a greased 9"x5" loaf pan.
4. brush the melted butter on top of the dough (makes it taste like a buttery biscuit!)
5. bake at 375F for 40-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
