cinnamon rolls for breakfast


are cinnamon rolls and cinnamon buns the same thing?? well i made some yesterday (i had been craving them for a while now), but it was probably not a good thing that i made almost 2 dozen of them. and i am home all alone. which means that i ate two of them for breakfast.....and some yesterday right when they came out of the oven....

i used this recipe up until the part about freezing the dough multiple times. it didn't seem all that necessary so after the dough finished rising the first time, i divided it into two pieces and just went right ahead with the whole rolling up bit. then i let them sit for another couple hours until they doubled in size again and stuck them in the oven for about 20 minutes.

i definitely skimped on the glaze (i wish i had some cream cheese), and i also didn't intentionally skimp on the filling, but when i was spreading it on the dough....it did seem a little sparse. but i went with the measurements given in the recipe. i also have this fear of my food being overly sweet or overly salty so i don't mind that they're not too sweet....but next time i would pile on that cinnamon + sugar and make some real glaze. =) at least it sort of makes me feel a bit better about eating two of them for breakfast.
