gooey butter cookies: recipe from lottie + doofi'm not sure why people go crazy with the cookies over christmastime, but i love it! good thing i'm still teaching piano for the next couple of weeks so i can try out new recipes and then give them away to my students (so i don't end up eating them all). this recipe from lottie + doof is probably the closest i'll ever get to the perfect cookie for me - super easy to make, simple, soft, gooey, a hint of cream cheese, not overly sweet, and (bonus!) they actually look appetizing. you're supposed to keep them in the fridge and eat them slightly chilled, but i like them better at room temperature. i only made half the recipe and i still ended up with 40 cookies. go make them. now!
