today was devoted to making macarons.
after my first attempt at making macarons...my goal this time was just to have them look right. so this time i measured everything out (with a scale) very, very accurately and they turned out ok! i made a matcha macaron with peach filling and a regular macaron with vanilla buttercream. both were a bit too sweet for me....perhaps macarons are just too sweet for me in general. but i am so happy with the result that i'm ok with just looking at them and not eating them. =)
