my schedule + room

i wrote out my schedule (because i don't have a printer) so if you're curious....here is my schedule for the next 4 months! no class fridays =) but i am pretty sure i might be dropping one of these classes in the next week or so because people keep telling me that no one takes 9 classes. ever. we'll see if i survive.

    

1. here is my desk + bed. isn't it so cool and lofted? my chair is also secretly a rocking chair...which still freaks me out every time i lean back. my ladder is on the other side of the bed, and there hasn't been a single morning yet when i don't fear for my life as i'm climbing down while half blind and half asleep.

2. the tall dresser on the left is mine, and in between those two dressers is our bathroom.

3. our kitchen in the shared space outside my room. it looks like we have a microwave sitting on our stove, but there actually isn't a stovetop and it's actually a convection oven (the actual oven doesn't work). we're not allowed to have anything in our dorm that doesn't shut off automatically, so for cooking we have to use a small induction cooker. apparently the convection oven works just as well as a regular oven because tonight the ra's used one to demonstrate making cornbread, and it tasted like regular cornbread. it just seems a little cancer-y because it looks like a gigantic microwave (and it spins around) while "baking".

i've made a couple sandwiches, but not much "cooking" yet - i almost even miss chinese food. happy chinese new years eve!
